  • Article Processing Fee:
If you are submitting a manuscript to IJBNPA and the lead or corresponding author is a member of ISBNPA then you are entitled to a 50% reduction in the Article Processing Fee. The APC is currently GBP 850. (€1072, $1669 USD, $1761 AUD)

To obtain the 50% reduction, you will need to select Option 3A on the Payment options page during the submission process. Here you will need to enter the membership code into the box provided. The membership code was sent in a recent email to all ISBNPA members. It can also be found in the upcoming newsletter. Lastly, if you need the code before then, you may contact: julie.rankine@deakin.edu.au

Once lodged the Editorial Assistant of IJBNPA will confirm ISBNPA membership.

    Institutional discounts still apply.
    Biomed Central member’s 100% discount
    Supporter member 15% discount

Authors of supporter member institutions, please be aware that only one APC discount can apply. Either 50% ISBNPA membership discount or 15% supporter institution member.

Currently if an author submits their paper from a full or supporter member institution, Biomed automatically recognises their IP address, and will bypass the payment page during submission. Therefore the authors will not be able to enter the membership code to trigger the 50/50 share of the APC. The 15% supporter member discount will apply.

Due to the technical glitch at the moment, we suggest if possible to submit papers from outside the institution's IP range eg from home.

If this is not possible, proceed as normal. The IJBNPA Editorial Assistant will be monitoring every submission and will be in touch.

If you have any further queries, please contact Julie Rankine at ijbnpa@deakin.edu.au
Option 1 on the payment option page applies to authors who accept responsibility for paying the full article processing charge.

Option 2 on the payment option page applies to authors of developing countries, and genuine inability to pay.
